JULIAN BELL APPOINTED MANAGING DIRECTOR MELBOURNE

​Following last week’s big announcements about the leadership of Clemenger BBDO Australia, we’d like to take a moment to recognise Julian Bell on his appointment as Managing Director, Melbourne. Julian has been a member of the agency’s leadership since 2018 and is highly regarded by our clients and people. He will join our executive leaders to help Clemenger BBDO Australia take creativity to places never been before.

CLEMENGER BBDO WELLINGTON'S NEW CAMPAIGN FOR THE NZDF

​Hot off the press is Clemenger BBDO Wellington’s new recruitment campaign for the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), in collaboration with The Glue Society and Gladeye.

After the isolation of the pandemic, research shows that young people are seeking connections now more than ever. To show that belonging can be found in the Navy, Army or Air Force, the NZDF has launched a fresh creative platform, RUN DEEP, kicking off with the CODEWORDS campaign. The work unlocks the tight bonds between mates in the NZDF, through exploring the stories behind some of the unexpected words and lingo. The campaign has launched across cinema, socials and outdoor, with viewers able to scan or tap each CODEWORD to reveal the story behind it. You can explore the work ​here.

COLENSO BBDO LAUNCH GLOBAL COLLAB FOR FORTESCUE FUTURE INDUSTRIES

​Colenso BBDO’s answer to a world that won’t listen to climate scientists, is to use the one scientist the world can’t ignore, Rick Sanchez – the animated character from hit sci-fi sitcom, Rick & Morty. 

Teaming up with Adult Swim for Fortescue Future Industries (FFI), the new work aims to fast-track the world’s understanding of green hydrogen – a zero carbon fuel made from water. The first partnership between the brands sees Rick battling to save the planet from a giant space worm, with Rick’s tools powered by green hydrogen. The ‘battle of Wormageddon’ is designed to bridge season 5 and 6 of the cult show, and is a digital and real-world treasure hunt for fans. The launch film has been viewed over 4 million times, complimented by 14 discoverable installations around the world. 

As well as integrating the fuel source into Rick and Morty’s world, the partnership also directs fans here - an educational site that explains green hydrogen with the help of scientist Rick.
